In July 2018, Chicago streetwear powerhouse JOE FRESHGOODS teamed up with the Museum of Contemporary Art for an exclusive collection of apparel and accessories. This event drew a crowd of dedicated fans and followers, and Push Product came through to share their stories of admiration for Joe– a Chicago native & creative.
Joe has been deep in the creative circles of Chicago with his boutique, Fat Tiger Workshop, as well as collaborative projects with Nike, McDonalds, and many other marquee brands. Because of the messages of empowerment, work ethic, & fun that’s infused in his creations; Joe has gained a core group of diehard supporters that truly believe in the merit of his craft.
We sat down with several of these fans and asked them to share their insights on the JOE FRESHGOODS X MCA collaboration, the historical significance, and their own stories of the brand. They all had a deep personal connection to everything JOE FRESHGOODS, and by default, Chicago youth culture itself.
